Charlotte Mason, a 19th Century educator, recommended the use of a 'Book of the Centuries' that the student uses when studying history--to see, right in front of them, the 'distances' between historical events, and to make a link between people who lived at the same time.

Each 2-page spread represents 100 years of history--and the child simply writes the names and dates of any important people or events that they learn about in their history lessons
